City of Rusk

Cherokee County, Texas

Located in the Rusk Civic Center, 555 Euclid Street, next door to the city swimming pool, the Ross Senior Activity Center was officially dedicated to the public on Saturday, May 8, 2010, during a memorial dance honoring the late Earl and Ruth Ross—for whom the Center is named.

The Ross SAC is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., every week day. Seniors may play cards, dominoes, chess, checkers and other games; visit or watch TV in the comfortable seating area; even play the piano. A schedule of upcoming activities and events will be posted in the SAC. Refreshments will be available daily. Call SAC Activities Director Amy Derrington, 903-683-5916, for information on planned activities.

The Ross SAC is available on the weekends to SAC members only. Call Facilities Supervisor Cristin Ross, 903-683-2850, to reserve the room or to become a member. Membership dues are $15 annually.
