Rusk Public Library
Rusk Public Library is a public community library that serves the residents in and around Cherokee County, The library dates back to 1902 when the "Bachelor Girls Library Club" was founded. In 1966 the Library study club donated its books and furnishings to the City of Rusk when the property was purchased from the heirs of the late Mr. & Mrs. Ed Singletary. The Singletary Memorial Library was then built by the City of Rusk in 1966, current building still being used today as the Singletary Memorial meeting room of the Rusk Public Library on March, 3,2015 Rusk Public Library opened its doors after consolidating with Singletary Memorial Library to become one.

Summer Reading Program starts the 1st Tuesday in June and runs through the 4th Tuesday in July, programs begin at 10:30 am. Call for summer schedules in May.
GED registration is September 20, 2018 from 4:30-6:00 in the meeting room at the library.CLASSES ARE FREE.
