FY 2026–2027 BUDGET PROCESS – WORKING DRAFT
The City of Rusk continues to work through the development of its Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Budget. Any budget information presented or discussed in connection with this meeting remains a working draft and is subject to change as the budget process moves forward.
The City Council and staff will continue reviewing revenues, expenditures, departmental needs, staffing, compensation, capital projects, debt obligations, fund balances, and other financial considerations. As additional information becomes available and Council provides direction during budget workshops, figures and proposed allocations may be revised.
No expenditure, staffing level, project, tax rate, departmental allocation, or other amount reflected in the current working draft should be considered final or approved at this time.
The City is providing updated budget information throughout the process in the interest of transparency and public access. The proposed budget will continue to be refined and remains subject to amendment and final action by the City Council in accordance with applicable law.
