NOTICE OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING – 2026 TAX RATE ADOPTION
The City of Rusk City Council will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rusk Council Chambers, 116 East 5th Street, Suite B, Rusk, Texas.
During this meeting, the City Council will consider and take action regarding the adoption of the City of Rusk 2026 ad valorem property tax rate of $0.482907 per $100 of taxable valuation, which is equal to the City’s calculated 2026 no-new-revenue tax rate.
The proposed tax rate consists of:
- $0.337956 per $100 valuation for Maintenance and Operations (M&O); and
- $0.144951 per $100 valuation for Interest and Sinking/Debt Service (I&S).
