NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 2026–2027 BUDGET

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Rusk, Texas, will hold a Public Hearing and Special Called City Council Meeting on:

TIME: 6:00 P.M.
LOCATION: 116 E. 5TH STREET, SUITE B, RUSK, TX, 75785

The purpose of the public hearing is to receive comments from interested citizens and members of the public concerning the City of Rusk Proposed Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Budget.

All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard regarding the proposed budget.

Following the public hearing, the City Council will discuss and deliberate regarding the proposed Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Budget and may consider amendments, additions, or deletions to the proposed budget.

The City Council will also consider and take action regarding a revised City of Rusk Fee Schedule, including proposed changes to fees, rates, charges, deposits, and other amounts charged for various City services and programs, including water, wastewater/sewer, solid waste/garbage services, permits, inspections, development-related services, library services, and other municipal services.

Following its deliberations, the City Council will consider and take action to adopt the City of Rusk Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Budget.

The proposed Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Budget is available for public inspection at Rusk Council Chambers, 116 E. 5TH STREET, SUITE B, RUSK, TX, 75785, during normal business hours and www.rusktx.org.

The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the public hearing.
